This report explores social dynamics; tribal issues; economic instability and unemployment; effects of unemployment on male youth; limitations for women; government action and response; agriculture abandonment; population movement; general safety amid general safety amid disputes; and reintegration of PMU members across rural communities in all five districts of Thi-Qar Governorate, drawing on 44 semi-structured interviews with local residents and governorate-level authorities.
